Kings Active Foundation have been working with Military Service families for over fifteen years in the UK and Internationally, offering our unique brand of Multi Sports and Activity camps for 5 – 17 year olds during the school holidays. Through our work with the Royal Navy Royal Marines Charity, USAF, the RAF and British Army, this year our work has expanded to working with NATO.
The partnership this year, will see us operating 3 weeks of camp for over 100 families overseas in Belgium and the Netherlands. Our camp programme will offer up to 30 sports and activities throughout the week, providing children with a fun and active, screen-free week, just like our camps in the UK.
The camps for NATO families also provide a great opportunity for our staff, (we call them Red Tops), to experience the safe delivery of activity to in a completely different context, broadening their experience and enhancing their future CV! The travel and residential aspect of these camps offer our staff amazing opportunities, for them personally and professionally.
For Military Service families, the opportunity to participate in our Kings Camps programme means that children are able to connect with others who have similar home experiences. With one parent often deployed, it also offers the parent at home the opportunity to know that their child is participating in sports and activity, at great facilities with experienced and fun staff!
The places are subsidised, offering an affordable holiday activity option.
Places have been filling up fast, which shows that families have the demand for this type of provision; with few places remaining, we recommend to book ASAP if this sounds like something for your family!
