Donations Policy
Donations Policy
When making a donation at the end of the booking process via the booking checkout, or via our Donations page, the following policy applies.
Purpose
This policy applies to donations given from members of the public towards our Supporting Families programme: https://www.kingscamps.org/supporting-families
Where donations are collected, these are separated from all other income or revenues and allocated specifically and only for our Supporting Families programme.
Our 100% financial promise is important to us. Since our inception, all the charity’s operating costs have been met by our income-generating charitable activities. These activities cover essential costs including staff salaries, administration, our headquarters, supplies and transport. This enables us to use 100% of donations for our Supporting Families programme.
Registration with the Fundraising Regulator
Kings Active Foundation understand and follows the commitment made to donors and the public by fundraising organisations which register with the Fundraising Regulator.
The Fundraising promise can be found here:

We promise that our fundraising is legal, open, honest and respectful. The standards for fundraising are set out in the latest Code of Fundraising Practice which can be found here:

Donation Principles
Donations can be received in numerous ways but usually this will be done via a secure online payment made through our Kings Active Foundation or Kings Camps websites:
All monies will be used to meet the costs of our Supporting Families programme which is delivered through our Kings Camps sport and activity camps programmes. Our Supporting Families programme aims to make a difference to the lives of children from a range of difficult or disadvantaged family circumstances, including financial hardship, terminal illness, bereavement and other challenging family situations.
By offering subsidised places on our camps, we seek to improve the wellbeing of the child and their family. It’s an opportunity for them to experience a week of fun and structured activity. It also offers the family a respite opportunity and financial assistance with a fun and engaging activity during the school holidays.
For all donated monies held by us, we aim will be dispersed within 12-months of receipt. All donated monies will be held in our business bank account.
Gift Aid
We will claim Gift Aid on all donations using the guidelines set out by HMRC.
Advertising and Marketing
We will ensure we meet the UK Code of Non-broadcast Advertising and Direct and Promotional Marketing (CAP Code) and the UK Code of Broadcast Advertising (BCAP Code) and make sure all advertisements are legal, decent, honest and truthful.
We will also ensure that we have taken all reasonable steps to make sure that communications are suitable for the people they are aimed at.
We will ensure that all of our literature includes all information that we have to include by law, for example registered charity status or number, full company name and registered office if this applies.
Complaints
We will provide a clear and publicly available complaints procedure and also explain to members of the public how to make a complaint.
All complaints will be investigated thoroughly and fairly, avoiding unnecessary delay to ensure we respond to complaints consistently and in a way that is in proportion to the complaint.
We will regularly review any lessons to be learnt from complaints and use that learning to help with future fundraising activity.
You can find Kings Camps complaints policy here
Refunds
We will provide a clear and publicly available refund policy which will be conducted in line with the latest Code of Fundraising Practice.
